CD games on a laptop without a CD drive?

Okay, so I have a Nancy Drew CD game that I want to play on my laptop, but it doesn't have a CD drive. My mom says I can't play it on the computer, so it has to go on the laptop. I've heard that you can somehow put the game on a memory card from the computer, and then switch it to a laptop, but I'm not sure how to do it. Or is it even possible? If so, please leave detailed instructions on how to do so, because I am computer-stupid when it comes to these things! Thanks so much in advance!
