What does my dream mean??

my dream is so crazy well i will try to describe it with word but it wont sound the same. My dream kind of started out in the middle of everything as usual. I am getting out of the car with my mom and my dad is for some reason a little drunk....(he is NOT an alcoholic lol). And he is standing on the balcony telling me "look there is a cat right next to you and you need to get him or else (idk what he said) will eat it". So i try to get the cat but i remember they are really sneaky..i mean a kitten it was a small little kitten gray with little colored paws. And people were trying to go for it and no on could catch it. So i was sneaky and i communicated with the cat saying i am friendly and we could be friend...???idk y i said that. So the cat came to me and followed me to the car. My parents said we couldnt keep the kitten because we already have on and a dog. But i felt so attatched to it i didnt want to let it go. and i remember my mom saying something about a school project. I was waiting on a friend to come to my house to do a project but she didnt come and the kitten interupted so we sat back in the car and started to drive somewhere...idk please please tell me what it means i know it has a meaning i have been thinking about it the whole day.
