Why didn't Jose Baez ask an emotional Lee if he molested Casey to in fact,"follow in his fathers footsteps"?

It seems the defense is throwing a multitude of things against the wall in hopes that something sticks in order to create "reasonable doubt." Now they tried to say Casey was too incompetent to continue the trial, but that was disallowed.
