My wife snoops, how do I stop this?

My wife doesn't trust me. Just because I talk with friends, she thinks it'll lead to something. I talk to one friend and it's usually on the road. I'm away from home a lot. Because I talk to this person on the road, she jumps to conclusions. I've started to erase her number from my cell phone and any text messages so that she doesn't see them. What do I do to get her to sop this insecurity she has?
